The “Create and Grow Law” (Law 18/2022) will require all companies and self-employed professionals engaging in B2B transactions to issue and receive electronic invoices starting in 2026, with different adaptation periods: 1 year for billing > over €8M, up to 2 years for others. From July 2025 / January 2026, the use of certified systems compatible with Verifactuwill be mandatory to ensure integrity, traceability, and transparency. The regulation requires electronic invoices to be stored for at least four years and to report their status (accepted, rejected, paid), with penalties of up to €10,000 for non-compliance .
